Veterans Advisory Council

The Veterans Advisory Council (VAC) was established in 2014 to provide advice and expertise on veterans matters to the Minister for Veterans.

The VAC's current members have considerable operational experience, ranging from Vietnam through to more recent operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Anzac Day Trust Grants

Anzac Day Trust Grants are available to ex-service organisations to support the welfare of ex-service personnel and their families.

The Anzac Day Trust was established as part of the Anzac Day Act 1960, which stipulates that part proceeds from race meetings and organised sporting events held on Anzac Day would be paid into the Trust fund.

Each year, the Minister for Veterans invites ex-service organisations to apply for a grant from the Trust. The trustees, appointed under section 10 of the Anzac Day Act 1960, review the applications and make recommendations for funding to the Minister. The application process will open in August 2017.

Information, including an application form and guidelines will be available on the grants page from mid-August.
