The Department partners with women, community groups and other government agencies to promote women's interests. It helps to strengthen the positive profile of women through a range of initiatives, including:

Support for the annual Grace Vaughan Memorial Lecture.
Support for the annual Maureen Bickley Memorial Lecture.
Exploring strategies to address the recommendations of the Committee for Perth's 2015 Filling the Pool report.
Supporting the Expanding career options for women scholarships.
Coordinating the annual Inspiring Entrepreneurship Luncheon celebrating the success of West Australian women in entrepreneurship and business.
Coordinating the Aspiring Entrepreneurs speakers forum and workshop in partnership with the Small Business Development Corporation.

Women's Information Service that provides free, confidential information for women throughout Western Australia.
Women and Superannuation
The Department, in partnership with Women in Super and WACOSS, have produced two guides encouraging women to make the most of their superannuation contributions and potential.
Being Board Ready
Being Board Ready: A Guide for Women can help women prepare for a position on a board by assisting them to better understand board roles and responsibilities, develop leadership skills, learn how to build networks critical for board visibility and self-assess their skill sets to increase opportunities for board appointments.
